Make spelling part of approval
Write the text in plain typed form and attach a reference image if available. Identify upper- and lower-case letters, spacing and any punctuation. A decorative font can make similar letters hard to distinguish.
Ask for a clear design proof before agreeing to production where custom work is offered. Do not rely solely on a cropped social-media image.
Specify scale and chain connection
State the target pendant width and height and whether the bail is included in those dimensions. If a chain is required, give its reference and ask for the fit to be confirmed.
A large visual reference does not define the finished size. Request measurements or a scale reference so your own customer understands the proposed item.
Ask what can actually be customised
Check whether the supplier can quote your requested text, stone type, metal, finish and quantity. Ask about any design, sample or tooling charges separately from unit prices.
